Electro Mechanical 2.0

ElectroMechanical 2 ReFill is a collection of multisamples, patches and song files designed to bring the sound of those hard-to-find, easy-to-love vintage keyboards into your Reason rack. Our main focus when creating this ReFill has been on realism; the keyboards used were carefully recorded using both vintage and state-of-the-art equipment, but rather than try to make these old beasts sound squeaky-clean and sonically perfect, we have embraced the flaws, quirks and errors that make up their very soul.

Reason Electric Bass

Reason Electric Bass includes numerous Combinator patches for Reason 4, along with samples of eight classic electric bass guitars: the Fender Jazz Bass, the Fender Precision Bass (flatwound), the Gibson Les Paul, the Rickenbacker 4001, the Gibson EB-0, the Kay Hollowbody, the MusicMan Stingray Fretless, and the Fender Precision Bass (roundwound). Each patch contains performance embellishments, such as release samples, hammer-ons, and glissandos, for an organic-sounding bass instrument. All instruments were captured using the company's Hypersampling method, at multiple Velocity levels using both direct inputs and multiple sets of microphones through two different bass rigs.

Reason Strings

Strings is a high quality collection of live played strings turned into Dr Rex loops and NN19 sampler patches. This new ReFill adds new flavors to the already powerful Reason program with both solo instruments and ensemble material. All string phrases have been edited in Propellerheads ReCycle program, which means that both tempo and pitch can be changed seamlessly for each loop. The ReCycle Rex file format also allows complete reorganization of the music phrases in Reasons Dr.Rex editor, all in total real-time.
The NN19 patches can only be used in Reason but the 288 Rex files have been provided in a folder outside the Reason Refill for use in other REX compatible applications. All loops and sounds can be used license free and as all other Propellerhead products, Strings is both Mac & Windows compatible.

The Reason Drum Kits 2 ReFill is an extensive DVD-ROM library of life-like, multisampled drum kits for Reason's extraordinary Combinator device. Drum Kits 2 is more than just a set of professionally recorded drum kits mapped out across your MIDI keyboard - it's a live drum recording session in a Refill. Reason Drum Kits 2 captures every aspect of the included kits: the drums themselves, the room surrounding them, the drummer, the unique sound of the mics and outboard used in the recording, the works. Reason Drum Kits features 58 unique Combinator kits styled for Vintage Soul, Indie-type Pop and Hard Rock, plus 96 additional ReDrum sets and an insane amount of inspirational MIDI files, effect patches and style templates.

The Reason Pianos ReFill gives you three amazing-sounding Hypersampled acoustic pianos with the kind of presence and playability you normally wouldn't associate with sampled pianos. Until now. Where other piano libraries leave you with a fixed piano sound that may or may not suit your project, Reason Pianos does just the opposite: these pianos were recorded using multiple microphones, leaving the mixing and shaping of your piano sound to you. You create piano sounds that suit your mix, not the other way around. A large selection of Combinator presets ranging from basic microphone setups to wide multi-mic patches guarantees you absolute sonic control. There's no one way to record a piano. And, there's no one way to mix one.
The featured pianos were chosen for their classic pop and rock friendly sound; The Steinway D is considered to be the world's finest grand piano, the Yamaha C7 is a classic rock and jazz piano with a distinctive sound, and the Steinway K is a well balanced upright known for its deep tone. These instruments were hand-picked and then tuned and adjusted to perfection.

Salazar Brothers Reggaeton ReFill

Propellerhead Software have joined forces with three time Grammy winners, The Salazar Brothers, for their latest Reason ReFill, Reggaeton, which we ran a story on from the Winter NAMM show. They have now been in touch to announce the price of the Refill and that it is available from their online shop.
The Reggaeton ReFill is over 360 megabytes of samples, loops and comes with 220 Drum & Percussion REX files, 75 NN-XT sampler patches in categories like Drums, FX, Stabs, Vinyl FX , Vocals and more including MIDI files and 20 song starter demo tracks. It is a great toolbox for Reason users looking for that Reggaeton sound.

Jason McGerr Sessions

Jason McGerr, the drummer of Death Cab for Cutie, as well as a producer and owner of Two Stick studios, has been long time fan and user of Reason. Now he has created a versatile collection of acoustic drum loops and hyper-sampled drum kits designed for flexible and creative music production for Reason users. The ReFill enables balancing close and ambient mics to sculpt the sound. Using vintage and state-of-the-art equipment combined with carefully selected instruments, the loops and drum kits offer great character as well as pristine audio quality.
